Code enforcement handles the daily quality-of-life issues in Belleair — town rules, ordinances and community complaints — so the town stays a safe and enjoyable place. BPD employs one qualified Code Enforcement Officer as a secondary position on top of normal patrol duties.
Responsibilities
- Enforce town ordinances and state law inside town limits
- Write citations and conduct arrests
- Handle community complaints
- Temporary assignments to a specific issue when needed
Requirements
- One position, filled only with the Chief of Police's approval
- Handles business inside town limits only — no mutual aid
